Sudden! A cargo ship was hijacked in the Red Sea!

According to CCTV News, local time on the 19th, Yemen Houthi said they detained an Israeli ship in the Red Sea. However, Israel said that the detained ships do not belong to Israel, and there are no Israelis in the crew.

The detained vessel is reported to be the Galaxy Leader. The Israeli prime minister's office said the ship was a British vessel operated by a Japanese company. The statement said there were 25 crew members on board, none of whom were Israelis.

Since Israel launched a large-scale military operation against the Gaza Strip, Houthi armed forces in Yemen have launched many attacks on Israel through drones and missiles, and threatened to attack Israeli ships in the Red Sea and anywhere else by various means.

The Red Sea, one of the busiest shipping channel in the world, stretches from Egypt's Suez Canal to the narrow Mande Strait that opens Arabia and is a key trade route for global shipping and energy supplies.

There is no doubt that this incident has once again aroused people's concern that if the Palestinian-Israeli conflict spreads, it may lead to a major disruption of shipping in the Middle East.
