In 2022, Evergreen Shipping pay its employees 52 months' salary as a year-end award, which make it successfully "go out of the circle". Recently, Taiwan's three major shipping companies-Evergreen Shipping, Yangming Shipping and Wanhai Shipping have announced their third-quarter results one after another. Is there any chance to stage the sky-high year-end award of shipping companies? 


Evergreen Shipping's third-quarter revenue was NT $72.81 billion (about US $2.25 billion), down 57.28% year-on-year and up 8.05% compared with the second quarter; The net profit attributable to the parent company was NT $21.91 billion (about US $680 million).


Yangming Shipping's revenue in the third quarter was NT $35.90 billion (US $1.16 billion), and its net profit attributable to the parent company was NT $2.81 billion (US $90.73 million). 


Wanhai Shipping's revenue in the first three quarters of 2023 was NT $75.08 billion (about US $23.2), and its net profit attributable to the parent company was NT $1.92 billion (about US $59.31 million). 


In the second half of this year, the international shipping freight rate began to face the pressure of "excess capacity". Some professionals predict that with the accelerated launching of new ships in the future, the market may fall into a long-term downturn, and the tragic shipping price war may be staged again. In 2024, the shipping company will face enormous challenges.

       阳明海运第三季度营收359.0亿元新台币(约合11.6亿美元),归属于母公司净利28.1亿元新台币(约合9073.0万美元)。


       万海航运2023年前三季度营收750.8亿元新台币(约合23.2美元),归属于母公司净利为亏损19.2亿元新台币(约合5931万美元)。


       今年下半年,国际海运运价开始面临“运力过剩”的压力。有专业人士预测,随着“新船将在未来加速下水,市场可能会陷入长期低迷期,惨烈的航运价格战可能会再次上演。2024年,船司将面临巨大的挑战。
