Dexun, the world's largest sea freight forwarder, announced a new acquisition

On June 6, Kuehne + Nagel, the world's largest sea freight forwarder, announced the acquisition of Morgan Cargo, a South African freight forwarder.

Morgan Cargo was founded in 1993 and headquartered in Johannesburg, South Africa, Morgan Cargo specializes in the transportation of perishable goods in countries such as South Africa, the United Kingdom and Kenya. Morgan Cargo handled more than 20,000 TEU of sea cargo, as well as more than 40,000 tons of air cargo.

The Morgan Cargo acquisition complements its perishable goods logistics business and improves customers' transportation services to and from Yngve Ruud, member of Dexun Management Committee and head of air transport logistics business, said:"Our expansion in high-growth markets such as Africa is related to our '2026 strategic development path', which promotes Dexun's business expansion in the Middle East and Africa.Although we have been active in the African market for many years, this acquisition is an ideal supplement to our regional business."
