The strike at the US-West Wharf affects many ports

The labor negotiations at the US-West Wharf are progressing slowly, and the confrontation between the two sides continues. 

A few days ago, the Pacific Maritime Association (PMA), which represents 29 terminals and 70 shipping companies on the west coast of the United States, said that on June 2, local time, dockers in the United States and West held a strike, which caused the operation of some container terminals in the United States and West to be interrupted. 

PMA said that in addition to the interruption of some wharf operations in Los Angeles and Long Beach ports, the strike also seriously affected the operations of American and Western ports such as Oakland, Tacoma and Seattle. 

Port of Auckland spokesman Robert Bernardo confirmed that the SSA and TraPac terminals in Port of Auckland had been closed during the daytime of June 2 due to a shortage of labor at the terminals.

In this regard, Robert Bernardo said: "We will continue to pay close attention to the current situation and hope to solve this problem as soon as possible so that cargo transportation can continue."

      PMA称，除了洛杉矶和长滩港的部分码头运营中断外，罢工还严重影响了奥克兰、塔科马、西雅图等美西港口的运营。

     奥克兰港发言人Robert Bernardo证实称，由于码头劳动力不足，截至6月2日白天，奥克兰港的SSA码头和TraPac码头已关闭运营。

     对此，Robert Bernardo表示：“我们将继续密切关注当前局势，希望尽快解决这一问题，以便货物运输能够继续进行。”
