Sea off Germany: Two cargo ships collide, one person dies! 

The German Maritime Emergency Central Command issued a notice on the 24th, saying that two cargo ships collided in the North Sea north of Germany in the early morning, causing one death and four missing.

According to the report, the collision occurred at about 5 am that day, about 12 nautical miles (about 22 kilometers) southwest of Helgoland and about 17 nautical miles (about 31 kilometers) northeast of Langeoog. 

The freighters involved in the two ships are the "Verity" flying the British flag and the "Polesie" flying the Bahamas flag.

According to the notification information, the "Verity" may have sunk, and the "Polesie" with 22 people on board is currently floating.

According to German media reports, the search and rescue work is underway,the cause of the accident is unclear.

       德国海事紧急情况中央指挥部24日发布通报，两舰货轮当天凌晨在德国以北的北海海域相撞，已造成1人死亡、4人失踪。

       通报显示，撞船事故发生于当天凌晨5时左右，事故地点位于德国黑尔戈兰岛西南约12海里（约22公里）、朗格奥格岛东北约17海里（约31公里）处。

       两舰涉事货轮分别是悬挂英国国旗的“维里带”号和悬挂巴哈马国旗的“波莱西”号。

       据通报消息，“维里带”号可能已沉没，载有22人的“波莱西”号目前保持漂浮状态。

       据德国媒体报道，搜救工作正在进行中，事故发生原因暂不清楚。
