BDI fell back below 1000
This week, the BDI index fell below 1000 points to its lowest level in three months due to the decrease in iron ore and coal shipments caused by high inventories.
According to the latest data released by the Baltic Exchange on May 31, the Baltic Dry Bulk Freight Index BDI dropped by 146 points to 977 points (a single-day drop of 13%), which was the lowest level in more than three months after February 27.
